Rotoscopy Lead
Team leads focus on the work allotted to them and their team. They will interact primarily with the producer and department supervisor during bids, and additional interaction exists with the production coordinator and production manager as needed. They delegate their workload to various artists based on their seniority and competencies.
Activities:
1. Creating and maintain a strong, reliable, efficient pipeline
2. Review and coach artists work
3. Maintain a close working relationship with the teams
4. Act as a bridge between the artists and the various teams
5. In conjunction with the studio & scheduling team, manage staff
6. Balance creation of final renders for shots with building and or maintaining systems for creating shots
7. Must work within the studio pipeline and publish tools and scripts as prescribed
8. Must follow the creative direction of the production communicated by supervisors
9. Provide the balance creative requests with the resources available
Competencies:
1. Excellent artistic skills
2. Expert knowledge of respective tools and processes
3. Tool building and scripting knowledge an asset
4. Knowledge of techniques and software
5. Some scripting skills an asset
6. Demonstrable ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
7. Able to take directions and adaptable to change
8. Good at improvising and problem-solving
